That weird shudder on tight turns is driving me nuts

So my 2018 X5 started doing this strange jerking sensation when I'm parking or making slow sharp turns, almost like the rear wheels are skipping or hopping. Did some searching online and it sounds like the transfer case might be acting up. The confusing part is that my car doesn't have any warning lights and it drives perfectly fine on the highway. A buddy who had a similar issue on his F15 told me not to just throw a used transfer case at it because those often fail the same way. Instead he mentioned looking for a shop that offers state-of-the-art case service where they actually open it up, replace the internal chain and clutches, and refill with the right fluid. Has anyone here gone that route in the UAE? I'm in Abu Dhabi but willing to drive to Dubai if there's a place that really knows these units. Also curious how much I should expect to pay compared to a full replacement. Just don't want to get ripped off or end up back in the same spot six months from now.
